Data exchange for health – are you sharing?
The exchange of data in healthcare is day-to-day business, whether it’s communicating lab results, or sending prescriptions. Data exchange is also contributing to new insights in prevention and public health.
Even though legislation provides a clear framework, what happens with the data that is exchanged? Which information is stored in the systems? What is the governance of exchanging data? And do organisations and health provides adhere to this governance? Is there any audit?
To answer these questions, AMS-IX is developing a new platform to exchange health data. This means that patients, clients, people with lived experience and healthcare professionals, researchers will collaborate in new ways. In this creative session we explore the world of data exchange. The insights of this session will shape the new data-exchange and implementation.

The session is interactive. We’ll work in small groups to experience what it means to exchange data and the conditions that are relevant. No preparations or prior knowledge is needed. We only ask you to actively participate and share your thoughts. After the session we have the opportunity to have drinks.
