Design for digital inclusion
How can we make the world really accessible?
Designers, software engineers and other creatives have a great influence on how public space is designed. Both physical and digital. The digital public space is expanding and is becoming more important, such as government websites, digital identification (DigID), but also retail services and public transport information. Digital accessibility is essential, and directly influences the work of the creative industry. Although there is a knowledge base on accessibility, we lack clear perspectives to transform toward genuine inclusive design for the creative industry at large. In this workshop people with lived experience, experts and designers will be mapping opportunities and barriers that they experience in their daily practices. Workshop facilitation by (ink).
Anna Noyons is a social designer, founder and creative director of (ink). Anna’s work evolves around the idea that everything is a design. Design is not just a company logo. Our laws are a design. Our society is a design. Intentional or unintentionally created structures that define the space we live in. (ink). combines design, psychology and the start-up mentality to translate societal challenges into concrete solutions.
The session will be held in Dutch.
