Nieuwe Vroenten: A Taste For Change
IABR, Lola Landscapes and the Embassy of Food (EoF) are hosting a design session on the innovative power of plant-based food. Together, let’s think beyond the traditional boundaries of our food.
10 Jul 2024 - 13:00 - 16:00
Museumpark 25
3015 CB Rotterdam
During the session we will work on an “organisational chart for change” for who we need to really shape this transition, from farmer to citizen, from ecologist to banker. In addition, we want to focus on the current frames that stand in the way of change. What (visual) language is needed? And how can a spatial view contribute to the plant protein transition?

Peter Veenstra
Landschapsarchitect
Peter Veenstra is a landscape architect. He is co-founder and partner of LOLA Landscape Architects, where he leads many projects and design studies. Freedom of movement and use is always the starting point in his designs, both in metropolitan environments and in open nature.
Anna-Louisa Peeters
PhD onderzoeker
Anna-Louisa Peeters is a PhD researcher at TU Delft. As an industrial designer, she explores the role of design framing in sustainability transitions. In particular, she focuses on the food domain and the protein transition – our collective movement from eating animal proteins to mainly plant-based ones.
Katinka Feijs
Ontwerper
Katinka Feijs is a designer who uses the power of visual storytelling to get people moving. She studies the complex issues of our food system and uses design to put current bottlenecks on the agenda, visualize solutions, and accelerate transitions such as the protein transition. Her work focuses on translating complex issues into images that not only raise awareness, but also generate real impact.
Joran Lammers
Onderzoeker
Joran Lammers is a researcher of landscape transitions at Leiden University. co-author of the study Netherlands Veganland, what if all of the Netherlands switched to a 100% plant-based diet? What would that mean for the design of the Netherlands? For climate justice? For the economy?
