The Embassy of Health is part of the Designing Society exposition during Dutch Design Week at Ketelhuisplein. The Embassy takes you into The Waiting Room during the exposition, where we take the space and time to delve into how designers in practice arrive at new solution directions from ‘soft values’. With the challenge of integrating health as a core value into how we design our environment-from how we care, to where we live and from which policies we live together.

Embassy of Health at DDW24
In a three-year programme, Embassy of Health investigates how we can consider health as our currency. Through the power of design and new collaborations, we seek answers to the question: How can imagination help us to properly incorporate the immeasurable aspects of health into how we shape our society?
In 2023, we kicked off this narrative, showcasing examples of centralizing soft values through design. In 2024, we will focus on the ‘how.’ How does design contribute to working from immeasurable, soft values? How does design help us reconsider the importance of health, and how does it give health a tangible ‘seat at the table’? What kind of imagination is required for this value transition? What drives us to make healthy investments in the long term? At the exposition, you can see different projects. Designing Society exposition
The Embassy of Health is part of the ‘Designing Society’ exposition at Dutch Design Week. Dutch Design Foundation invites visitors to discover new perspectives on possible futures during this over 600m2 exposition. Through various themes, you will discover how we as a society can connect the power of design to the complex challenges of today and tomorrow.
