Embassy of Mobility at DDW24
The Embassy of Mobility is part of the Designing Society exposition during Dutch Design Week at Ketelhuisplein. Eindhoven is growing fast and at the same time has to remain sustainable and attractive. This calls for smart use of space, more greenery and a smaller ecological footprint. At the same time, the demand for mobility is increasing. At the exposition, you get an insight into how the Embassy of Safety is trying to organise society so that the demand for mobility better matches the available resources.

Embassy of Mobility at DDW24
The mobility transition focuses on less travel during rush hour and more use of sustainable transport modes such as public transport, cycling and shared transport. However, changing travel behaviour is difficult. We can tackle this by turning four knobs: hardware (infrastructure), software (digital tools), mindware (behavioural change) and organisation ware (organising the demand for mobility differently). At the exhibition, you can see various projects by the Embassy, designers and partners working on this mobility transition. On this page, you will find more information about them!
Designing Society exposition
The Embassy of Mobility is part of the ‘Designing Society’ exposition at Dutch Design Week. Dutch Design Foundation invites visitors to discover new perspectives on possible futures during this over 600m2 exposition. Through various themes, you will discover how we as a society can connect the power of design to the complex challenges of today and tomorrow. Some 40 projects depict a world addressing today’s questions and exploring a promise for a better future. Curious to find out more about the entire exposition? Click here!
