Redesigning Psychiatry Summerschool

Why a Summerschool?

Movement is not achieved alone! Only together can we initiate the transition to a reliable, accessible and flexible mental healthcare network. By means of education, training and workshops, we increase the innovative capacity of nurses, experts by experience, doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, policy officers and designers!

What is it?

The Summerschool is a short but intensive two-week academy in which we step out of the daily practice to shape the future of mental health care (GGZ) together, using innovative methods. At the same time, we offer tools to initiate change tomorrow and help participants further with their own design tasks.

Programme

You follow a digital programme that is easy to fit into your own agenda (1-3 hours a day). During the first week, we teach you everything you need to know about the RP philosophy and about innovation. In the second week, you will work on your own innovation issue. On the last day, everyone will come together live to conclude the Summerschool festively, together with alumni from other editions!

Who is it for?

We welcome thinkers, experts, disruptive thinkers and change agents from all layers and corners of the GGZ with an interest in Redesigning Psychiatry, design thinking or innovation. It doesn’t matter to us what your background or experience is as long as you have a curious, inquisitive and honest attitude and are willing to roll up your sleeves for a fortnight! The alumni of the RP-Summerschool together form a network of rebellious, change-minded healthcare professionals, experts by experience, policymakers, insurers, philosophers and designers who believe that things can be done differently.
