The growth of Eindhoven
The Brainport Region Eindhoven is one of the fastest-growing high-tech areas in Europe. This brings many opportunities but also challenges in terms of accessibility, mobility, and sustainability. To keep the region attractive and liveable, we need new and smart solutions for people to travel and move around.
Two key projects that contribute to this are Knoop XL and HOV (High-Quality Public Transport). Knoop XL is developing a transport hub for the future where people enjoy spending time and that offers smart connections. Its design and appearance match Eindhoven’s reputation as an innovative ‘city of light.’ The HOV project wants to make bus transport more attractive, comfortable, and efficient, with bus stops that can serve multiple functions.
These projects will have a major impact on living, working, and travelling in the region. To keep everyone informed and involved, the Municipality of Eindhoven is engaging residents, visitors, workers, and other stakeholders through animations and discussions, so everyone stays informed and can share their ideas.
