ATTACHED: Digital Youth
Discover the beauty, complexity and vulnerability of a digital youth. Step into the world of six young people who are exploring their complex and intimate relationship with apps and platforms. How do young people experience an ever-present digital companion? Find out how they develop, immerse themselves, make friends, work and sometimes even try to escape the digital world that surrounds them.
This exhibition reveals the contradictions of growing up in a digital age. The portraits show a strong attachment, but also a certain dependence. The Amsterdam municipality asked young people to share their personal stories and show how they relate to the internet – an exciting, sweet and sometimes untameable beast. What does it mean to grow up in a world that is always ‘on’?
