Regeneratief Waterbeheer

Working with the restorative power of water and natural processes.

A cultural shift is taking place in the world of water management. With it, a new, or rather very old, awareness about water is slowly emerging. This ‘water awareness’ revolves around on recognising the regenerative power of water, its inherent ability to restore itself.

Regeneratief Waterbeheer

How can we truly collaborate with water? And how can you understand water in such a way that you can encourage it to harness its own regenerative power? Is the word ‘management even still suitable, or does this new relationship with water require a different interpretation?

To explore these questions, Joost van der Cruijsen from Waterschap De Dommel and deep designer Anne van Strien conducted design research through a series of Water Dialogues. They documented their research and findings in the book ‘Regenerative Water Management – Working together with the restorative power of water and natural processes.’
